These applications will save you a great deal of time, keep you completely organized, allow you to do a much better job, and reduce the stress of these
difficult processes.
As mentioned in the OSCAnews ad, Student Course Requests for 20122013 school year are possibly complete, or will be in the near future.
1. The Tally/Sectioning Assistant application is a great time-saver, organizer, record-keeper and report generator that is used
during the period of time when Student Course Requests are being analyzed (typically March-April) and the number of course sections to be allocated
are determined.
Typically, during this period of time, course request tallies change, courses are cancelled, sections allocated change, school staffing allocations change.
This application provides all the necessary functions to re-import the latest Course Request Tallies, allocate/update number of course sections allocated,
generate detail/summary reports, department reports, designate combined courses.
It analyzes potential class sizes by using your School Board's Class Size Maximums.
This takes the frustration out of juggling constantly changing tallies, combined course tallies, section allocations, totals by department, overall totals
as you work toward paring-down/reconciling the total allocated number of course sections with the actual staffing allocation to your school.
Reports provide a means for interaction with Department Heads.
This application is used up until section allocations are finalized and then the process of building the Master Schedule begins.

2. The Timetable (Master Schedule) Assistant application is an immense help during the process of building the Master Schedule
- it does many things but most importantly it generates a multitude of 'visual' reports which allow the Master Schedule builders to 'see' the timetable.
An absolute necessity for timetablers.
The application automatically highlights 'Hot Spots' (courses that are full or over-full, as well as courses with very low enrolment).
It analyzes class sizes by using your School Board's Class Size Maximums.
Anyone who has timetabled will see the benefit of these reports.
Of course, this application is an invaluable tool for Guidance staff throughout the entire year as well.
Admin also use it's many analysis reports.
